Scarpr tells you when there's an event at a venue you're keeping an eye on. This page explains, plainly, what that requires us to know about you — which is very little.
At a glance
Everything below exists for one reason: so we can notify your device, at the time you chose, about a venue you asked to follow.
| Data | What it is | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Device ID | A random identifier generated on your device the first time you open Scarpr. It isn't your Apple or Google account ID, and it isn't linked to your name or contact details. | Matches your saved venues and notification preferences to your device, and lets us update them if your push token ever changes. |
| Push notification token | An address Apple or Google assigns your device so an app can be notified remotely. | The only way we can actually deliver a notification to your phone. |
| Venue subscriptions | The venues you've chosen to follow in the app. | So we know what to notify you about. |
| Notification time & time zone | The local time you've picked to be notified, and the time zone your device reports. | So a notification arrives at your chosen time, in your local time — not ours. |
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. Two outside services are involved in making Scarpr work at all:
You're in control of this from inside the app, no request needed:
If you'd like everything associated with your device removed — for instance, after deleting the app — email us at admin@scarpr.app and we'll take care of it.
Scarpr isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone in that age group.
If this changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since Scarpr doesn't collect your email or any contact details, we have no way to notify you directly — check back here if you want to know what's changed.
